Corfe Castle
One of Britain's most majestic ruins and once a controlling gateway through the Purbeck Hills, Corfe Castle boasts breathtaking views and several waymarked walks. The demolition of the castle in 1646 by the Parliamentarians marked the end of a rich history as both fortress and royal residence. With its fallen walls and secret places, it is a place to explore, a giant playground for children of all ages. The crumbling ruins and subtle invasion by plants and animals, along with its almost ethereal quality as light and weather change, all contribute to the unique atmosphere of Corfe Castle.

Wareham
Wareham is a curious and fascinating town. It has a history that goes back nearly 2000 years; flourishing in Saxon times and was a strategic stronghold for King Alfred the Great. After seeing action in both Civil Wars, Wareham’s importance slowly diminished as the nearby town of Poole grew in stature, leaving a picturesque market town on the banks of the River Frome.
Blue Pool
Set north of the Purbeck Hills between Wareham and Corfe Castle off the A351. The Blue Pool at Furzebrook constantly varies in colour. Very fine clay in suspension in the water diffracts light in different ways producing a spectrum of colour sometimes green sometimes turquoise. Set in a deep clay bowl, steps lead down to the waters edge or up to views of the Purbeck Hills. The Pool is surrounded by 25 acres of heath woodland and gorse interlaced with sandy paths that seem to take you to another world.
Poole
Welcome to Poole, a bustling Quay, the best beaches in England and stunning natural harbour make Poole, Dorset a natural first choice on the South Coast.
Lulworth Cove
The Lulworth Coastline has many fine beaches, accessible from either the land, or the sea. To the West are the beaches of Middle Beach and Durdle Door, whilst in the east are the beaches of Mupe Bay and Arish Mel.
Durdle Door
Durdle Door is one of the most photographed landmarks along the Jurassic Coast. This rock arch in the sea was formed as a result of the softer rocks being eroded away behind the hard limestones, allowing the sea to punch through them. The name Durdle is derived from an Old English word 'thirl' meaning bore or drill. Eventually the arch will collapse to leave a sea stack such as those that can be seen at Ladram Bay in East Devon.
