WAREHAM
Wareham is a curious and fascinating town.
It has a history that goes back nearly 2000 years; flourishing in Saxon times and was a strategic stronghold for King Alfred the Great. Wareham is the start of many of our walking and cycling routes to explore the rest of Purbeck.
THE JURASSIC COAST
The Dorset and East Devon Coast World Heritage Site isEngland's first natural World Heritage Site - it is known as The Jurassic Coast. It covers 95 miles of truly stunning coastline from East Devon to Dorset, with
rocks recording 185 million years of the Earth's history.
CORFE CASTLE
Enjoy one of Britain's most iconic and evocative survivors of the English Civil War, partially demolished in 1646 by the Parliamentarians. The picturesque village of Corfe is one of the countries most photographic treats.
SWANAGE
The traditional victorian seaside resort of Swanage offers a glorious Blue Flag sandy beach, spectacular walks and the old Swanage Railway.
STUDLAND
A glorious slice of natural coastline in Purbeck featuring a four-mile stretch of golden, sandy beach, with gently shelving bathing waters and views of Old Harry Rocks and the Isle of Wight.

of tanks and tank crew to life. Supported by

the museum of the Royal Tank Regiment & Royal Armoured Corps.
MONKEY WORLD
Monkey World assists governments around the world to stop the smuggling of primates from the wild. At the Centre refugees of this illegal trade as well as those that have
suffered abuse or neglect are rehabilitated
into natural living groups.
THE BLUE POOL
The Blue Pool at Furzebrook is surrounded by 25 acres of heath, woodland and gorse interlaced with sandy paths. A unique, tranquil place that is well worth a visit.
LULWORTH
Lulworth is most famous for its Cove, a natural horseshoe-shaped harbour. Nearby, the Lulworth Estate also has much to offer.

SWANAGE & WAREHAM RUGBY CLUB
Swanage & Wareham RFC has long been established as the premier rugby club in Dorset.
WAREHAM & PURBECK YOUNG FARMERS
Wareham and Purbeck YFC is the largest club in Dorset with 50 members of all ages. They take part in all the county competitions as well as enjoying a varied programme of events including visits, talks, trips and fundraising.
STOBOROUGH SCHOOL
Stoborough CE VA First School is situated on the edge of Wareham in the picturesque rural village of Stoborough.
REDCLYFFE YACHT CLUB
Redclyffe Yacht Club nestles on the west bank of the River Frome at Redcliffe, just half a mile down stream from the old historic port and walled Saxon town of Wareham. It was founded in 1933 and over the years has provided a peaceful haven for all those who enjoy ‘messing about’ on the water.
PURBECK SPORTS CENTRE
Purbeck Sports Centre is a modern, accessible facility, situated half a mile west of Wareham town centre, in the heart of rural Dorset.
